Join us starting next week, either in person or through our live broadcast, for our Mawlid events as we come together in love, gratitude, and remembrance of the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His blessed birth was no ordinary event; it was described as a night of extraordinary light, mercy, joy, and heavenly celebration, when creation rejoiced at the arrival of the Mercy to Creation.
Miracles surrounding his blessed birth included: - The gates of Heaven and Paradise were opened.
- Sayyidah Amina (as) witnessed Sayyidah Hawa (as), Sayyidah Sarah (as), Sayyidah Asiya (as), and Sayyidah Maryam (as) coming to welcome Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
- Heavenly signs and banners appeared from East to West and
above the Ka‘bah.
- The idols of the Ka‘bah fell and broke.
- The ancient fires of the fire-worshippers were extinguished.
- His blessed fragrance was said to have filled Mecca like musk and amber.
The Awliya Allah teachings further emphasize that Mawlid is not simply a remembrance of the past, but a blessed gathering in which immense mercy, forgiveness, spiritual reward, and barakah may descend. Our Grand Shaykhs taught the tremendous value of gathering out of love for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and encouraged followers to honor Mawlid with sincerity, salawat, remembrance, generosity, and service.
From Awliya Allah teachings: - Grandshaykh Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah ad-Daghestani (q) taught that performing Mawlid can carry a reward likened to 9 years of spiritual seclusion and worship.
- The teachings of Sayyidina Shah Naqshband (q) show how even a small sincere act of love for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ like shining a lamp outside one's home can attract Allah Almighty’s care and completely transform that person’s life.
- Allah Almighty granted Imam al-Ghazali (q) Divine favors and blessing for simply allowing a fly to drink from his inkwell.
- Even those who come at the end of a Mawlid or partake of its food may receive a share of its mercy
and blessings.
- Water, salt, or sugar placed during the Mawlid recitation is traditionally regarded as receiving barakah from the gathering.
Join us with your family and loved ones and take part in this beautiful gathering of Qur’an, salawat, dhikr, praise, fellowship, and love for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. May Allah Almighty allow us to receive from the mercy, forgiveness, light, and barakah of Mawlid, and increase our love and connection to His Beloved, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
